O sing unto the LORD a new song: sing unto the Lord all the earth.
A speaker at our assembly remarked, “Music reflects the culture of your generation.” If that’s true, and I believe it to be so, then our kids, our families and our generation are in serious trouble. The messages of today’s music are filled with words of anger and frustration, sexually explicit, rantings and ravings that attack all levels of authority — messages disguised by clever melodies that plant seeds of discord and mock the moral values of society. Let us not be afraid to point these things out. As for me, give me hymns of praise and songs that stir the soul towards His mercy, grace and love. —Jerry Proctor
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, let the earth hear His voice.
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, let the people rejoice. — Fanny Crosby
