Mother’s Day is a very special day for all of us because for us to be here we must have had a mother at some point. While some of us are blessed with godly mothers that love us, there are some in this world who do NOT have mothers that love them.
First, let us remember those children who have no mothers due to death.
Second, let us remember all those children whose mothers didn’t love them and they have been taken away due to some kind of abuse! Many of these children have no one to call their own. We are so blessed by our own families and tend to take them for granted. Please pray for these children that have gone through so much within their little lives. They have not only been abused in some way or another but they are no longer able to have a mother called their own. Maybe the Lord will speak to YOUR heart about adopting one of these precious children that need a godly home with parents that love the Lord and will raise them with the true love of Christ!
Third, let us remember the mothers of these precious children as it is a very real possibility they never had a godly mother themselves. Even if they did, the Lord’s grace can reach down and save even them! Please keep these mothers in prayer, as well!
We hope your Mother’s Day is as good and sweet as ours has been! Happy Mother’s Day!

O Love that wilt not let me go,
I rest my weary soul in thee;
I give thee back the life I owe,
That in thine ocean depths its flow
May richer, fuller be.
O light that followest all my way,
I yield my flickering torch to thee;
My heart restores its borrowed ray,
That in thy sunshine’s blaze its day
May brighter, fairer be.
O Joy that seekest me through pain,
I cannot close my heart to thee;
I trace the rainbow through the rain,
And feel the promise is not vain,
That morn shall tearless be.
O Cross that liftest up my head,
I dare not ask to fly from thee;
I lay in dust life’s glory dead,
And from the ground there blossoms red
Life that shall endless be.
by George Matheson
Here is a beautiful hymn that I learned while we were in England. I’d never heard it before and it has really spoken to my heart many times when it seems that life is at its darkest. It is such a great reminder that no matter what happens, the Lord will “never leave us nor forsake us” Hebrews 13:5. If we are Christians, the Lord uses every situation in our lives to help us to become more like Him. We know that although the discipline from the Lord is not easy for us yet it’s there to “yield the peaceable fruit of righteousness” according to Hebrews 12:11.
Thank you, Lord, for your love that will discipline us when we need it. You are not like some parents that just allow us to always do what we want but You use what it takes to get our attention away from the world and back on You. How gracious and merciful that You love us that much!
